Co-founder of OVR Aaron Wisniewski chef and sommelier and founder of flavor and fragrance company Alice and the Magician was blown away by how real VR felt. But given his background, he felt something was missing. Smell.
OVR's scent technology is an attachable Bluetooth connecting device that contains a refillable cartridge. The device releases the scent based on what you see and do in the headset. There are three main applications for this device right now. The first is health and wellness. Inhales are being used in rehab and detox clinics. It's also being used in training for high-stress situations. Lastly, it's being used in arts and entertainment such as games and storytelling.
